Here we go!

I’m glad you’re here (and I’m sorry about the traffic)

DEAR CHARLOTTE

Hey there,

Thanks for signing up. Seriously, I know your inbox is probably a disaster, so the fact that you're giving me space in it means something.

I moved to Charlotte in 2018. Back then, things felt different. More affordable, less crowded, and a little more predictable.

Today, this city is a different beast. I started this because I got tired of reading "top 10" lists that didn't mention the rising utility fees, the potholes on Providence Road, or the reality of what it actually takes to build a life here in 2026.

This isn't a news desk. It’s my personal journal. Once a week, I’ll send you a letter about the nuances of the Queen City — the good, the bad, and the expensive.

It's just me, journaling out loud about what it's really like to live in Charlotte — the costs nobody mentions, the trade-offs people don't talk about, and the stuff that makes you go "wait, why is nobody else saying this?"

If that sounds good to you, you're in the right place. New issues are sent out every Saturday morning.

Your Saturday mornings are about to get lit.

Stay tuned.
